While browsing YouTube the other day, I came across some oldies but goodies. They were bits of my childhood. Pieces of myself. I started going through them, listening and pulling my favorite lyrics to create this list of animated movie songs with great messages. I encourage you to check them out. Some may just be the thing you need today!

1. Reach for the Light - Balto

“Somewhere in you, there’s a power with no name. It can rise to meet the moment, and burn like a flame. You can be stronger, than anything you know. Hold onto what you see. Don’t let it go. Don’t you let it go.”

2. If We Hold On Together - The Land Before Tim

“Live your story. Faith, hope and glory. Hold to the truth in your heart…When we are out there in the dark we’ll dream about the sun. In the dark we’ll feel the light. Warm our hearts, everyone.”

3. Go the Distance - Hercules

“Down an unknown road to embrace my fate. Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you, and a thousand years would be worth the wait. It might take a lifetime but somehow I’ll see it through.”

4. When You Believe - Prince of Egypt

“They don’t always happen when you ask and it’s easy to give in to your fears, but when you’re blinded by your pain, can’t see the way, get through the rain. A small but still, resilient voice says hope is very near. There can be miracles when you believe.”

5. Colors of the Wind - Pocahontas

“You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you, but if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you’ll learn things you never knew you never knew.”

6. We Are One - The Lion King II

“We are one, you and I, we are like the earth and sky. One family under the sun. All the wisdom to lead, all the courage that you need you will find when you see we are one.”
