Lush: The Relaxation Destination

It's Monday, the beginning of the week, and for anyone in school, it's the first day back. In addition, everyone is gearing up to start the new year with positivity and a solid determination to complete their lengthy list of New Year's resolutions. Although it seems like a fresh start as the new year takes off, people always have reasons for stress consuming their lives. Stress is easy to find little ways to make us worry, either it is making this month's rent or figuring out the washing machine. However, when stress is high, relaxation is key. Taking some time to indulge in laziness and pamper the mind. So, how do I relax? Well, there is a newer store called Lush that sells product lines for body, hair, and skin care. Random, I know. But the sweet scents and soothing facial masks make me melt. This store is an amazing investment if you're looking for something to help you relax and take care of yourself. Not only can you pamper yourself but it's a calming experience.

1. Lush is all about you.

You need some time to yourself. Relax and treat your body to some delicious smelling Lush body products. Aromas of lavender and fresh citrus fill the air. Pick anything: for your hair, face, or skin. Lush tells customers which type of products are best for them.

2. Products are as natural as my hair color!

All of Lush's products are made from natural, fresh ingredients. It's nice knowing that your facial mask is made from actual rose petals rather than a chemical concoction. The natural ingredients of flowers, fruits, etc. are much healthier for our skin and hair. In addition, their products are cruelty-free meaning that they have not used animals for testing. C'mon they are saving the bunnies!

3. OH, THE BATH BOMBS!

Creating a vibrant wonderland in your bath tub, Lush is known for their sensational bath bombs. Not only is it perfect for a photo, but their bath bombs leave a lingering aroma. Plus, the bath bomb designs are almost as sassy as their names!

4. Like takin' candy from a baby.

Sometimes it's extremely difficult and stressful to pick out beauty products. Lush has an extensive guide that informs customers about products' purposes and also the type of skin that would be best suited for the product's effectiveness. Also, the guide includes Lush product natural ingredients that make each product. This simple guide makes it easy to understand and less complicated.

5. The customer service is top notch.

Okay, so you can't take the employee home with your new bath bombs. But Lush offers exceptional customer service where their employees go above and beyond. They'll let you test the products so you can find the perfect product for your skin and offer their own advice, which is extremely helpful.

6. Well if it's encouraged...

Lush is the perfect relaxation destination because it's the store that actually encourages you to do it. Everyone isn't in such a rush to go, go, go. They're selling beauty products that encourage natural beauty and reason to be lazy. Browse the shelves and see what kind of products tickle your fancy.

Who says you can't draw a luxurious bath, toss in a bath bomb, and light some candles? Just relax and invest in some Lush beauty remedies for both your body and mind. It's all natural and an easy way to turn your Sundays into a weekly spa treatment.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
