My spontaneous trip to Lush one day is the reason why my acne has finally cleared, thus reducing those pesky acne scars. After dealing with acne for some years now, I have gone through so many products and treatments (whether harsh or light), and nothing has worked until I tried these products from Lush…

There are so many skin care companies and products out there, however, as a facial cleanser nothing had reacted well with my skin. Even if the cleanser did not irritate my skin, it did not help clear my acne, and that is the one thing I need out of a product.

Let the Good Times Roll is my holy grail. After at least one week of using the facial (and body) cleanser, my skin felt nourished and super clean. As the label states, “Buff skin to softness with our sweet, balancing maize flour and corn oil cleanser.” Lush definitely carries this statement out to be true.

Most exfoliators out there can damage the skin if used too rough. However, the maize flour and corn oil face and body cleanser purifies my skin and gets rid of all impurities better than leading brands. This one Lush product lightly yet deeply enough buffed my skin back giving me smooth soft skin.

I have had a hard time finding a moisturizer that actually keeps my skin supple and nourished without clogging my pores. Some end up being ways to heavy making it feel actually disgusting, or some just end up breaking me out horribly. Well, do I have a solution for that!

My skin tends to be dry and oily (combination skin) and Imperialis is the absolute perfect product to fix this. The label reads, “An orange blossom cream that’s perfect to balance out-of-sorts skin” and the moisturizer does exactly that. Although it can take about two days to feel your skin completely balanced, it is worth it.

I use it two times a day, once in the morning and once before bed, both times after I wash my face using the cleanser. I love this product, however, I have my eyes set on Vanishing Creamafter this second container of Imperialis runs out!

Although I have just run out, Mask of Magnaminty, was the first face mask I bought from Lush and it was the best decision I had ever made. It cleaned deep into my pores and after ever use I felt my skin become so light.

“We add loads of ground aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe and moisturize.” It is the complete all in one for me.

Also, who would not love the minty smell it gives off? I keep the mask on for usually a little around 15 minutes and until it has dried. After I wash it off with warm water, I know my skin is thanking me!

These products listed above are ones that suited my skin. In other words, it might not work for you 100 percent but I definitely recommend trying them because they seriously did save my skin. Although these are three products I absolutely adore, there will be a post about the ones I am really not a huge a fan of...

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
