Why Luke Needs To Be The Next 'Bachelor'

It's not just because he's handsome, but that helps.

Why Luke Needs To Be The Next 'Bachelor'

JoJo's season of "The Bachelorette" has brought more than a handful of charming men to America's attention. And with the finale quickly approaching, we all want to know: Who will be the next "Bachelor?"

Last week's episode saw fan-favorite -- and my personal favorite -- Luke Pell get sent home moments after professing his love for JoJo. Heartbroken and stunned, Luke left the show with his heart in his hands and no one to give it to. It was perhaps the most difficult goodbye this season had to show.

But if you ask me, Luke deserves another shot at finding love. Here's why Luke needs to be the next "Bachelor:"

1. He's a hopeless romantic.

After climbing into the car that would take him home, Luke stared at the camera and said, "I was in love with her; but I never got the chance to love her, and that's what hurts the most." I'll admit, that's when my heart broke for him, and I may have shed a tear or two. Luke saw forever with JoJo, and, unfortunately, she didn't. He wanted everything to be perfect, right down to the moment he told her he loved her-- and in the end, it turned out he held back by doing so, and thus he was sent home.

2. He's a handsome country boy.

Let's face it: "The Bachelor" has a type when it comes to casting. They look for an All-American country boy for America to fall in love with. Look at Sean Lowe, Ben Higgins, Brad Womack, Jake Pavelka, Chris Soules...the list goes on. Luke fits in perfectly with this type-casting and even takes it in a slightly different direction with his rugged charm.

3. He was a fan favorite.

Everyone was rooting for Luke. He is just a likable guy. Crowning him the next Bachelor would not only boost ratings but also give America another chance to watch him fall in love, and perhaps finally get the happily ever after he deserves.

4. He still wants to find love.

In an interview with "The Hollywood Reporter," Luke said, "I would be excited about [being "The Bachelor"]. I’ve seen firsthand that it worked, going through this whole process with JoJo and I. I was in love with her. It happened so fast, but it was real at the same time. It was real for us and it was real for me. So, I would be open to it again because I know it works." Being on "The Bachelorette" hasn't made Luke cynical, and it hasn't turned him off to being in love. He still wants to find someone to spend the rest of his life with, and he genuinely believes he could do that as the next "Bachelor."

I'm all for giving Luke the chance. He's open and genuine, and America just really seems to like him. I think following him on the second part of his journey to love will be heartbreaking, overwhelming, but ultimately heartwarming and joyous in the end. Here's hoping.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
