Why Lucas Scott Is Actully The Worst
One Tree Hill

Within these past few weeks of obsessively watching "One Tree Hill" I have noticed that Lucas Scott can, at many points, be the worst. Now do not get me wrong, Lucas Scott is actually a pretty reasonable character. He is protective of his friends and the people he cares about. He is always there to lend a hand and stand up for what he believes in. He is great at basketball, very smart, talented, and obviously enormously handsome. But from what I have seen, I have noticed that he is, again I say, the worst. But he is specifically the worst at the relationships he has.

He cheated on his girlfriend… (twice).

Now not only did he cheat on his girlfriend, Brooke Davis, but he cheated on her with her best friend, Peyton Sawyer. Now I understand what you may be thinking: “Lucas and Peyton were meant to be!” Yes. Sure. And as many of you believe that is true, that does not give him the right to sneak around behind his girlfriend’s back (especially when that girlfriend is Brooke Davis). And let us not forget that time he was dating Lindsay and made out with Peyton right before he chose to propose to Lindsay (Confusing. Yes, I know).

He is emotionally indecisive.

Since the beginning of the show, Lucas Scott has wanted to be with Peyton Sawyer. Once she did not reciprocate the feelings, he moved on to Brooke Davis. Makes sense! But even when he is with Brooke he continuously goes back and forth with his feelings for Peyton. FINALLY him and Peyton form a beautiful relationship, and shockingly enough, break-up. After their break-up, Lucas gets into another relationship with his editor, Lindsay. He then proposes, and still struggles with his feelings for Peyton. After Lindsay leaves him at the alter (due to recognizing his feelings for Peyton), him and Peyton finally get together, for good (thank God).

He is a hypocrite.

When Lucas and Peyton were reunited, Lucas continuously made snide comments to Peyton about how she “looks nice”, and how she can “do better” when she meets a man at the bar (even though he was in a committed relationship with Lindsay). When Lindsay was picking up on his feelings for Peyton, he became very angry with Peyton, blaming her for Lindsay being unconfident in their relationship.

He is selfish.

As demonstrated during his continuous back-and-forth feelings from girl to girl and the make-out sessions he has with girls other than his actual girlfriend, he is not one to think about others feelings when making decisions. He continuously acts in ways that are unfair to himself and his relationships.

I understand that this is a very controversial topic amongst "One Tree Hill" fans and I understand that there will be many people who disagree with me. This is just my view based on my observations. I am not saying that Lucas Scott is actually a bad guy, I am just saying that he often pursues actions that a majority of people would not approve of if he was someone we were to actually know. Now, like I said, I am not saying that Lucas, himself, is a bad character. I just think he is not so great at relationships. Even though I think he isn’t the most lovable character "One Tree Hill" has to offer, he has taught me, and hopefully a few others, an important life lesson: don’t be with someone when your heart wants someone else. It isn’t fair to anyone within the situation.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
