Ahh, yes--midterms week. Whether yours has passed or whether it's approaching soon, we all can agree that it is an unbelievably stressful time. Spring semester is half way done and we only have a short amount of time left to pick up our slack and try to bump that B to an A (and that C to a B).
You're stressed, and that's OK; it shows you care. But, don't let it overtake you. Recognize the effort that you have been putting in up to this point, and be proud of it. Recognize the areas in which you can improve, and set goals. School, grades, it's all important; don't get me wrong. But, while school and grades might be your life right now, there is so much more to life than school and grades.
So, to my stressed-out, overwhelmed, unsatisfied scholars-- be proud that you care about your grades. But, don't forget about all the other super-important things that are just as important as, if not more important than, being a good student.
1. Being selfless.
2. Being patient.
3. Being forgiving.
4. Being genuine.
5. Being a team player.
6. Being a friend.
7. Being young at heart.
8. Being level-headed.
9. Being 'a home.'
10. Being YOU.
So, continue to keep your standards high-- for both your grades and your character.
