10 Reasons Why Loving Lee Brice Is Completely OK
Lee Brice, 2014

If you are anything like me, you have no problem admitting that you have a slight obsession with country music. Kenneth Mobley Brice, more popularly known as Lee Brice, is one of the easiest country artists to love! Here are 10 reasons why it is totally acceptable to love him, just like I do!

1. His lyrics are on point.

All of them! I’ll point out a few specific songs later in this list, but bottom line, they are wonderful.

2. His backwards hat and sunglasses.

Enough said.

3. He played collegiate football.

True story! Lee played for Clemson University as a special team’s long snapper until injuring his arm, which is when he decided to pursue his career in country music.

4. He sings one of the most fun songs in country music!

Thinking of the song "Parking Lot Party," that’s exactly what tailgating a country concert is like! Even if you cannot or choose not to engage in some of the activities, just going for the experience with family or friends, you know some of the most memorable moments happen without even going into the venue. Special shout out to the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ for all the summer concert memories!

5. Ultimate family goals.

Have you ever seen pictures? For starters, his wife is absolutely gorgeous! He is so in love with her and definitely not afraid to profess it! Sara and Lee have two of the cutest babies I have seen in my entire life.

6. Who doesn’t relate to "Love Like Crazy?"

7. The music video for "I Drive Your Truck" will cause tears.

Just watch it! It’s absolutely flawless!

8. He recognizes the working class.

Lee’s song "Drinking Class" is actually about the working class! Lee actually said in an interview “Drinking Class is not really about drinking. It’s more about the working class and everybody in this world who works their tails off.”

9. He adores his fans.

Ever been to one of his concerts? He thanks his fan after every song!

10. He’s on tour!

The Life off my Years tour with special guests Maddie and Tae, Jarrod Niemann, Dylan Scott, and Clare Dunn just kicked off on February 5. Check to see if Lee will be in your area!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
