I have always been very attentive towards my personal style. If I had to describe it in a sentence, it would be: classic goodies with an individualized twist. In high school, I remember planning out my outfits every night before bed. This was important to me because I never felt complete unless I was confident in my outfit choice. Does anyone relate? Now that I'm in college, I don't try as hard because, well, trendy loungewear exists. But this makes me sad because styling myself has always been a genuinely enlightening experience, or even hobby, of mine. Nonetheless, I still appreciate fashion just as much.

One of my favorite ways to waste time is by restlessly weeding through thousands of items on Poshmark. When I go back to admire certain things I've saved, I often see patterns. For example, I'll obsess over 20 garments with a very similar aesthetic but I won't recognize it until I see them all next to each other. And that is just how this love story begins.

LoveShackFancy listings were flooding into my Poshmark feed. It was fate, you see. I of course couldn't help but study every inch of their Instagram shortly afterwards. At first I was convinced that someone had found my diary from elementary school and used it to inspire an entire clothing line. Kudos to their head of social media, I was simply mesmerized by the Instagram page. It's perfect really. Within the bows and flowers you'll find thoughtfully designed garments for ladies of all ages and scenery to compliment. And then I said the name aloud, "LoveShackFancy." Goodness, could it be any cuter? If it we're a person I'd just have to squeeze their cheeks.

After some extensive internet surfing, I was able to learn more about LoveShackFancy and how it all began. Once a upon a time there was a woman named Rebecca Cohen. It is said that Miss Cohen was in the midst of creating her own bridesmaids' dresses when she uncovered her true calling. The dreamt up, vintage inspired dresses became a reality and the universe was begging for more. That is the universe of all things cute and whimsical, duh. I'd say the transition from fashion writer to fashion designer has reaped fancy rewards, indeed.

Shades of strawberry milk and lavender bouquets charm the boutique and it's dainty designs. LoveShackFancy sells dresses, skirts, matching sets, and more. These articles of clothing instantly become masterpieces under the attention of LSF. For bridesmaids and mermaids alike, they'll make you want to dance along the Mediterranean Sea, or pick peonies for crown making. There's an outfit worthy of your wildest daydreams and all of the memories made in between. Someone cue the album Gossamer by Passion Pit!

I find it very special when clothing is able to transform a mood, let alone set it. You could base an entire dinner party around the aesthetic of an LSF garment. Typically, it's the other way around. A whole lifestyle is influenced through the brand as it inspires women to dream, explore, and create. The versatility of the designs make for timeless sustainability. A simple white embroidered maxi dress might act as a wedding gown to one, but as a tea party ensemble to another. The choice of fabrics are also under careful consideration, prices are reflective of the high quality. These majestic getups will last beyond a lifetime, keeping the spirit of LoveShackFancy alive for every daughter and sister to enjoy. I've caught the Fancy fever just by looking at the clothes. Although, I do hope to eventually own a closet (or should I say shack) full of the lovely label. Then I'd surely live happily ever after, as would my juvenescent fantasies.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
