It is estimated that more than 15,700 children ranging from ages 0-19 years old are diagnosed with cancer each year. That’s around 43 children a day being told they must fight this life threatening evil. In 2012 Brian & Zack, two students at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, founded Love Your Melon an apparel brand that began with the vision of putting a hat on every child battling cancer in America.

After embarking on nationwide tours in 2014 to spread the Love Your Melon mission the Campus Crew Program was initiated. Currently more than 11,000 students at 740 different colleges and universities have joined Brian & Zack as a part of the Love Your Melon mission. After 45,000 hats were donated to children undergoing cancer treatment, Love Your Melon set another goal to donate one million dollars to pediatric cancer research and providing immediate support to children and their families. In 2015, Love Your Melon achieved and exceeded their goal by personally donating 51,264 hats at 705 donation events in 46 different states through the Campus Crew Program. Grab some tissues and take a look at the video below to see one of many Love Your Melon Superhero Donation Events.

As of April 8,2016, Love Your Melon has widened its impact in the fight against pediatric cancer by teaming up with nonprofit partners. Fifty percent of net proceeds from ALL Love Your Melon products are donated to Love Your Melon’s nonprofit partners in the fight against pediatric cancer. Between the two; Pinky Swear Foundation and CureSearch, Love Your Melon’s partners work in the fields of pediatric oncology, fund cancer research, and provide immediate support to families of children battling cancer.

Love Your Melon allows you to purchase with a purpose and look good while doing good. When you visit Love Your Melon’s website you will see a wide variety of apparel, caps, beanies, koozies, mugs, tumblers, lanyards and even more accessories, each of which help in the fight against pediatric cancer!

Another added bonus of Love Your Melon products is that they are all made in the USA. Beanies are made in St.Paul, Minnesota by Minnesota Knitting Mills. These beanies were carefully crafted to be soft enough for children battling cancer. Check out this video for a sneak peak into the factory where love and care is put into each and every beanie.

Perfect for the summer is Love Your Melon Caps, which are made in Denver, CO by Competition Headwear. These too were specifically made to insure they ware comfortable for a child’s bald head as well as for customers love.

The Leather patch is a staple piece to all things Love Your Melon. Gotham Textile, in MN makes the patches for Love Your melon hats and deboss the logo into the leather through a heat press.

Do you know someone in your life battling cancer? The Request A Hat program allows family and friends of those battling cancer a change to surprise them with a Love Your Melon Hat. New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
