There is a song that has recently been on the radio a lot recently and it's a song that has been on repeat in my head. It's called brother by The Brilliance. The song basically goes When I look into the face of my enemy I see my brother. I love this song. It is a common reminder that I need to love the people around me. They may not be my favorite person in the world but I still need to love them. The people in this world are hurting and a lot of them just want to be loved.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:43-48, "[ Love Your Enemies ] “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. ... " We are called to love the people in this broken and hurting world. I was bullied a lot in school because I was different.

I grew up in a town where I was the minority. I was white and the minority in that town. I got bullied every day because I was different. I always tried to treat those who hurt me with kindness. Was it easy well no of course not. There were times when I wanted to hurt them as much as they hurt me, but instead I treated them with kindness. I showed love instead of hate. There is already so much hate in this world. You just turn on the news and it's filled with hatred. If we could all show just a little bit more of kindness it would go a long way. So I challenge everyone do one kind act for another person every day. It can be as simple as asking them how their day is going. It doesn't have to be much. Just show others that you care. Show them love.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
