You have so much to be thankful for

Why I Love Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time of the year where you are suppose to give thanks. That's why I love Thanksgiving. I feel like people don't stop and just think about what all they have to be thankful for. Instead we, as humans focus on everything that's wrong with our lives instead of everything that's good. Thanksgiving is a day for us to just stop and give thanks.

1. FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Family is something I enjoy during Thanksgiving. I love getting together with my friends and family. It's also one of the many things I'm thankful for.

2. FOOD
Who doesn't love Thanksgiving food? Turkey, Mac&Cheese, Potato Salad. I LOVE food anytime of the year, but Thanksgiving is a time my family goes all out and I'm thankful for food.

3. Drama
This one is a funny thing to choose but everyone has a little bit of family drama during Thanksgiving. That's what give the holidays a little spice. LOL

4. Giving Thanks
This is my favorite thing about Thanksgiving. You give thanks for what you have.

I know that with life being so hectic sometimes it's hard to just look at what you have to be thankful for. It's easier to think about everything that's going wrong. My challenge for you is to find something to be thankful for this holiday season.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
