Sometimes it’s so hard to grasp how much the Lord loves.
This thought echoed within my head for the past week between my breaks of studying, sleeping, and eating; the basic college student cycle.
We are natural sinners who constantly make the same mistakes over and over again, repentance a common thing, and somehow He always forgives; it’s like a clean slate.
Isn’t that amazing? It’s a love so powerful that our minds have trouble comprehending it.
I am still working on mentally grasping this truth that no matter how many times we turn our backs on the Lord, no matter how many times we reject His word, no matter how many times we disobey God, He never leaves us. His love is all-powerful.
Even on the darkest of days when we, as the Lord's followers, feel empty and alone, we have the certainty within us that although we might feel lonesome, we never really are.
He lives within His believers and He never leaves us; even when we leave and turn away from Him.
A love so sweet, it's hard not to rejoice for the mercy of the Lord.
“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Deuteronomy 31:8
