This Valentine's week I could write about relationships or being single on this holiday, but after thinking about it I decided not. For this year, I'm going to focus on a different type of love. The love of a girl and one of her dog.
I was not going to let that happen. After wandering around the store and a lot of begging, I suckered my family into adopting him for me. My trio of dogs became a pack of four. I couldn't be more thrilled.
Luciano has been apart of family for about 14 years now. I couldn't ask for better dog. He's one of the best dogs I could ask for. I don't think it's possible for me to love him anymore than I do.
He's a little strange at times. For instance, he likes to sit like a person in a chair and watch television. But he's also super sweet. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He lets our other dogs push him around.
From a mutt puppy that wasn't wanted or didn't have a home to a loved and spoiled older dog...he's been through a lot. I'm going to enjoy my time with him. As someone who's had dogs from breeders and shelters, my shelter dogs have been great with Luciano being a prime example.
