I have watched Shane Dawson for some time, although, not religiously, I knew he was a Youtube Icon. He's been around for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until last year that I watched one of his videos and truly fell in love with his personality and his humor. I wish the best for him because he is such a wonderful and real person.

Someone I could relate to, someone who would make me happy, even in the worst of times. His friendships with others are beautiful and I love that he is finding happiness in his life. No one deserves it more than he does. I honestly love you, Shane Dawson.

His humor allows you to make light of situations that are tough.

Oh, the yellow backgrounds on his thumbnails were always an indication that it is likely I laughed. They were goofy and entertaining, I enjoyed them and I found they were very helpful in helping me relax. I could always count on him releasing something that would help me forget my present issues for a few minutes.

He speaks about real issues, and is not afraid to expose his own insecurities.

Shane recently went to Texas to help Graveyard Girl out, with his fear of planes, he was given Xanax. He documented his experience. He spoke about his panic attacks which I think is very brave. It is not easy to put oneself out there and speak about things that are private. He has done that in numerous occasions. He gives his fans hope that there are people like them.

He’s absolutely hilarious and not afraid to step his game up.

He recognizes when he needs improvement. It's the reason why he changed up his videos completely. He uploads less but the content that he puts out is absolutely STUNNING. I can't even express how great I feel after I finish those videos. They're life changing and can teach many about things they likely didn't have a lot of information on. I am very thankful for that.

His videos inspire others, and demonstrate the beauty of friendship and love.

I love the relationship between Shane and Ryland. I love the friendship between all of them. It's such a nice group of people. My heart is so full when I see them together. Everyone is genuinely supportive of each other. Everyone is happy and enjoy their time together. It helps me appreciate my own life.

He has no beef with anyone.

There are many influencers who have issues with one another, Shane prefers not to get involved with that, instead he remains positive and makes videos with them. He spreads only love to other influencers, encouraging them and trying to help them become their better selves. There's a lot of things to be admired about Shane Dawson.

Thank you for being a great influencer.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
