I get sad when I hear someone say they don't like reading. It's like saying I don't like laughing.

1. To escape this muggle world when it gets boring.

2. The mind is a weapon, and it needs to be sharpened.

3. It's one of life's simple pleasures.

4. It's a great way to spend time to yourself.

5. You have nothing to lose but ignorance.

6. They smell great. I could get high off the smell of books. Not hammered, I get grammared.

7. It's the only way to sleep with people who like books.

8. So I can live a thousand different lives.

9. Reading stimulates the mind in a way that TV and movies will never be able to do.

10. I can use books to see the minds of authors and compare it to my own, which in turn, will help me grow as a person.

11. I can't not read.

12. It ignites my imagination.

13. Books are the closest thing muggles have to magic.

14. It's like exercise, but for the mind.

15. It's a great way to avoid life.

16. It makes you think, and in this day and age, that's a dangerous thing. Something about it is so scandalous, but I love it.

17. I feel better at the sight of a book or a bookstore.

18. It makes me feel better when I lie sick, in bed.

19. It's a great feeling when a book makes you laugh — even better when it makes you cry.

20. Dinosaurs didn't read, and now they're extinct. Do you really think that a coincidence?

21. It gives me something to rant about. Like when the ending is extremely anticlimactic or the movie adaptation is awful.

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
