What’s the definition of it?
As hard as we try to explain what love is, there has never been a solid definition to the true meaning of love. I’ve personality gathered that love is easy, love is gentle and kind, love is never failing, and no matter what, love is always love.
Whatever the definition and whatever the concept, love is the most powerful force to ever spread across this planet that we call Earth.
Over the years, I have come across a few quotes that put love into perspective:
"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies."
-Aristotle
"Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is."
-Jim Morrison
"Love is kind when the world is cold, Love stays strong when the fight gets old, Love is a shoulder to lean on, love is you, Love's like the water when the well runs dry, Quench my thirst, keep me alive.
Just need one sip, baby, love is you."
-Chrisette Michele
“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”
-Oscar Wilde
“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.”
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”
-Maya Angelou
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
-1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“You can have the last bite of my food.”
-Lanecha Turner
