Love Not Hate, Makes America Great

Mr. President, These are your American people and you need to equally represent ALL of them, even the ones who disagree with you.

Love Not Hate, Makes America Great

I am proud to be a woman. I am also proud of my region, race, sexuality, and very proud to be an American. There is nothing wrong with that, and never will be. I also am aware that Donald Trump is our president and there is nothing I can say to change that. Now, even though I have accepted he is our president, it does not mean that I have to agree with the things he says, wants, and does. The beautiful part of being an a American is my right of the freedom of speech, and I will exercise that right too. I want people to stop telling others to "stop protesting and just deal with it" and to maybe listen to what the people are actually protesting. The woman's march spoke loud volumes of how many American people feel, and I saw things on social media like "what are these people even protesting about" or "do they not realize this isn't going to change anything". Well here is what they were protesting and why it does make a difference.

Love

Love is Love. We have the right to love whoever we want. We in the "Land of the Free" and should be free to express that love to whoever.

Equality and Racism

Even though we have come a far way with equality, we are not where we should be. Many Americans suffer from racism because others do not see them as equal to them. Donald Trump has expressed racism throughout his life and here is a link to some of the things he has said: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-r...

Feminism

Women and Men should be equal to one another, but they aren't and you should not be okay with it. I also want to make it clear that Feminism does not mean women hate men, and that anyone can be a feminist.

Sexual Assault and Abuse

Donald Trump condoned rape culture by excusing the comments he made by calling it "locker room talk". Women have to deal with disgusting comments from men, being looked at by men as pieces of meat, hiding their rape/assault because of victim blaming, being objectified, and the list can go on and on. Here is a link to a list of things Donald Trump has said about women: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-r...

Climate Change

It is real. Stop denying it and start taking care of our planet. https://www.nwf.org/Eco-Schools-USA/Become-an-Eco-...

Health Care/Insurance

If you are going to repeal the Affordable Care Act that MILLIONS of Americans use, you have to replace it with something and so far no one has mentioned any plans of what the replacement is. Also, Planned parenthood is not an Abortion clinic, it is a safe and affordable place for women to go. Here is a link to what planned parenthood does for people: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/who-we-...

People protest for their voices to be heard, as long as it is peaceful, then it they should protest.

Mr. President, I know you see and hear these protests, and I ask you to please listen. These are your American people and you need to equally represent ALL of them, even the ones who disagree with you. Hear the cries of the people and COMPROMISE with them. Don't "Make America Great Again" because America is already great, make America better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
