Michael Phelps recently won his 23 Olympic gold medal, and his 28 overall. Phelps has captured the heart of America through his four Olympic games. Here are 23 reasons to love him even more:

1. He has an awesome warm-up playlist, including Eric Church, Young Yeezy and Eminem.

2.He recently broke a world record set over 2,000 years ago.

3. Phelps is the only athlete to ever have enough gold medals to be in the double digits.

4. He makes the best memes, ever.

5. He's a great friend, and proved it with Allison Schmitt.

7. Phelps has competed in 29 Olympic races, and has medaled in 28 of them. Impressive!
