4 Romantic Country Lyrics That'll Make Any Girl's Heart Sing For A Forever Kind Of Love

Let me tell you, nothing gets to me more than a country love song. Something about a southern voice cooing about how much they love their girl is enough to make any southern belle's heart melt. Even if you're not a fan of country music, once you really listen to the lyrics of a love song, you won't see love the same way.

That might sound a little bit dramatic to some people, but not to me. I think the more I listen to these pretty country guys and gals sing about the person they love, the more I figure out what I want out of a partner. It's kind of the same way as watching a rom-com and wishing you had a man like the main love interest to sweep you off your feet. With these movies you see the characteristics you would want in a partner: the charming personality, the dashing good looks, the romantic gestures. But with music, you listen to the emotions you want your partner to make you feel and how they should feel about you.

1. "I've been in a daze ever since the day that we met." - Dan + Shay

We all deserve a man that appreciates our beauty every day, that sees us for how we truly are, one who's in awe of us. Dan + Shay said it best in "Speechless," "And I've been in a daze ever since the day that we met..."

2. "You're my sunshine in my darkest days, my better half, my saving grace, you make me who I wanna be..." - Jason Aldean

We deserve a man that wants to be his best because he knows we deserve it. We want a man that treats us like we're home and appreciates the comfort and care that we try to make them feel. "You're my sunshine in my darkest days, my better half, my saving grace, you make me who I wanna be..." Jason Aldean sings in "You Make It Easy."

3. "Was my heart beatin' in my chest? Was I even alive before the day we met?" - Brothers Osborne

We want a man that treats us as if we are his forever, his one and only. We want to feel like we have made his life better. We want a man that makes us wonder how we could have ever been without him for so long. Like Brothers Osborne says in "I Don't Remember Me (Before You)," "Was my heart beatin' in my chest? Was I even alive before the day we met?"

4. "She puts that beat in my chest, pounds like a drum, shakes me like thunder. Taking my hand, pulling me up when I'm going under. My dreams come alive when I wake up and look in her eyes. She brings me back to life." - Rascal Flatts

Not only do we want a man that will feel so passionate about us and devoted to us, but we want to feel head over heels in love. We don't want doubts or wishy-washy feelings clouding our judgment. We want to wake up every day knowing that not only are we being loved to the fullest but that we are reciprocating that love without worries. I know when I look at the man of my dreams I want to feel at peace, like I'm right where I'm supposed to be. I still want to get butterflies when he tells me he loves me. I think the best song to describe how most girls want to feel and how we hope our love feels about us is "Back to Life" by Rascal Flatts: "She puts that beat in my chest, pounds like a drum, shakes me like thunder. Taking my hand, pulling me up when I'm going under. My dreams come alive when I wake up and look in her eyes. She brings me back to life."

Everyone's idea of what love should feel like is different. We all have different wants and needs out of our relationships, but I think with country love songs they really hit all the bases. There's just something about the simple romance of these songs that makes the love they sing about feel so attainable, so realistic. Even if you don't enjoy country music, everyone can appreciate the beauty and devotion in the lyrics. We all want to feel like we are special, adored, and a priority. I want someone to feel as strongly about me as these songs convey.

We all deserve to love and be loved just as passionately and deeply as the love in these southern drawls.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
