A Love Letter To Phi Sigma Sigma

Dearest Phi Sigma Sigma,

I love you. There's no other way to put it. You've inspired me to be the greatest version of myself while giving me thousands of sisters around the world. Thanks to you, I have a creed to live by and sisters that will always have my back. I never thought Greek Life was for me until I walked into a room full of Phi Sigma Sigma women.

I could never thank you enough. From all the hours helping philanthropies to just hanging out, every second made an impact on my life and made me who I am. Phi Sigma Sigma women are all unique, but together they make something awesome and irreplaceable.

"I believe a woman who serves is a woman who leads" - Phi Sigma Sigma teaches women that being a leader comes with serving and helping others, whether that's your sisters or a person in need.

"I will devote myself at all times to upholding the ideals of Phi Sigma Sigma." - A constant reminder to aim high and strive to be a woman of substance, character and influence.

"I believe in faith, love, and sincerity." - Faith, love and sincerity are things our world needs more of, how great is it to find an entire group of women trying to promote them.

"I will find strength in the lifelong friendships I share in the bonds of our sisterhood." - Truth. Every sister is a wonderful person. I have special memories with each woman from my chapter. I know that in 10 years when life is rough, I will have friends to help me and 30 other shoulders to cry on. They know your best and worst, and love you regardless.

"I believe in the advancement of womanhood." - Phi Sigma Sigma believes in building women up, not tearing them down. We don't support any negativity towards others, but in helping them rise to new heights. Supporting the advancement of womanhood in a world that makes it difficult is a truly beautiful thing.

"I will make the most of educational opportunities throughout my life and will become a woman of substance, character, and influence." - I love our entire Creed, but this seals the deal. Inspiring women to become educated and strive for great qualities is so amazing. I know that without Phi Sigma Sigma, I would have never made it as far as I have. I owe everything to them. I will be striving everyday to be a woman of substance, character and influence. The same can be said of every Phi Sigma Sigma woman.

"I believe in the perpetuity of Phi Sigma Sigma." - Phi Sigma Sigma is instilled in so many wonderful women that it will never fade away. Phi Sigma Sigma will last until the end of time, or so I really hope.

"I will build to the walls of the pyramid." - Each sister builds to the pyramid in their own unique way. It is beautiful, and it makes each chapter who they are.

I'm an alumnae of this wonderful organization, and I still cannot shut up about it. Phi Sigma Sigma has helped so many women through various things. From difficult family issues, to illness, and to typical college mental breakdowns. Our rituals, our sisterhood and our memories will always live on. I thought I may feel differently after graduating, but I thought wrong.

"Once a Phi Sigma Sigma, Always a Phi Sigma Sigma."
