A Love Letter To My Chaco Tan Lines
Eden Garrett

Dear Chaco tan lines,

Where have you been all my life? What would I do without a constant reminder of last summer? You are always there for me, and never go away. I really appreciate that.

Every day during the summer while lifeguarding at the pool, what did I do? No, I did not save lives, I worked on my amazing tan line. The competition of who had the best tan line was on, do you know who won? Of course I did. By the end of the summer, we all have the perfect shade of tan and bright white. You glisten in the daylight and bring the whole world happiness.

Nothing compares to you. You are a symbol of hope, love, strength, and freedom. You are stylish and everyone knows that you were expensive to create and I am so proud of you. You are not only proof that I can get extremely tan but that I was really pale during the winter. You also show that I can get 28 shades darker in only two months.

While I love you dearly, sometimes you're inconvenient. When I want to wear other shoes, you always seen to poke through. While during an interview, the interviewer stops and asks about you. While I love you, you are not professional but still adorable so I forgive you.

You are a great topic to talk about, you stand out and makes others notice. You get compliments all the time and I am so proud that you are a part of me. It makes me 100 times cooler when people see you. It makes my day when random strangers say how much they love you, and I do too.

Tan lines, you were there for me all summer, through the winter, and still here while I am getting ready for summer again. Thank you for being there for me though the good times and bad, you are a friend that never goes away and I am forever grateful.

Xoxo,

Dark & Gorgeous

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
