Dear Converse,
We have all had some kind of epic, out of this world love. It engulfed you in your own feelings and you thought you would, and could never, feel the same about anything else. My love was you. This love wasn't just an admiration of you from afar, it went both ways. You were there for me and always went with me everywhere.
Packing for college, driving seven hours to school, and move-in day was a piece of cake with you on my feet. The first day of recruitment was not nearly as stressful as it could have been because of how comfortable you always are. You just have a good sole. Because of you I don't think I could ever really go out in open toed shoes again, you only make that mistake once.
Thanks for being there all the long nights wandering around looking for something to do. Even when I decided to walk over five miles from a party back to my dorm room with my best friend because "it wasn't our scene" you were there with me. You weathered the storm, quite literally through many rainy days, and you never gave out. Honestly, sorry for not getting rain boots by now, I know its a little ridiculous.
You were even there for the first time I was incorrectly labeled a "hipster" during my vegetarian stage, and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's two years later and I still love you and have you, Converse. I have gotten many different colors and types, but you will never go out of style and my first pair will never be forgotten: high-top and white. You match anything and everything and you're so tasteful.
College and life wouldn't be the same without you. So, I really just want to say thank you for all the memorable moments that have incurred and that are to come. I don't really know what drew us together, it could've been the cool, comfortable, slightly-used grunge look, but I'm glad we got together and I know we will never split.
Thanks for never being a morning-after regret because you never leave me with pain and I always seem to be walking in the right direction.
Love,
Yours Truly
