A Love Letter to coffee

Coffe, you never let me down.

A Love Letter to coffee

Dear Coffee,

I am grateful for your existence every single day! You never fail to brighten my day and make everything better. You are a delicious cup of perfection. I love every flavor and variety you come in. Some days I might order you from Dunks, other days Starbucks, and sometimes even brewed in my own little dorm room. I can always count on you to perk me up!

You are there for me on those rough days that no one else can make better. You help me wake up those days that I can not seem to do so on my own. You are there for the struggle of getting up for 8 a.m. classes, late night cram session, and any pick me up needed in between. You know just how to get me reenergized, when it seems like I might fall asleep at any moment. You keep me going!

You are also the most delicious drink in existence. You have so many different rich and amazing flavors, everyone great in its own unique way. I can order you iced, hot, or even with a turbo shot. I can get a cappuccino, a latte, and many other complex and even more caffeinated forms. Sometimes you are strong and sometimes you are sweet. One thing is for sure though I will never be disappointed when I go to take that first sip.

I don’t know how anyone could say fairy tales aren’t real, because everyday I drink the magical potion (known as coffee) and I am brought back to life. I quite frankly do not think that I could survive without you. I may be slightly addicted. I may see my bank account dwindling as I find myself needing you more and more. What you give me in turn is worth every little two and three dollar charge I see on my credit card statements. You are worth the headaches I have when I go without you. You are worth it all. I just want to let you know that I really do love you coffee. My life has been so much better sense you have been in it. Thank you for being you, and doing what you do.

Love,

Your biggest addict

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
