A Love Letter To Myself
Kimberly Realbuto

You are beautiful. You are kind. You are smart, but also wise. You are caring. You are considerate. You are patient. You are hardworking. You are loyal. You are dedicated. You are strong. You are resilient. You are powerful. You are inspiring. You are unique. You are loving. You are enough. You are worthy.

Your body does incredible things. Your legs can help you run for miles and your arms bear so much weight each day. You may be little, but there is so much strength within the small package. You have beautiful eyes that can light up a room and a smile that shines brighter than the sun. You are beautiful, and blessed with so many talents from the Lord that come from your body as it is.

You are allowed to ask for help. You are allowed to feel. You are allowed to be in pain. You deserve to let people take care of you every once in a while. You cal let yourself relax. You can let yourself have a break. You can breath.

You have overcome more than you ever imagined. You are a survivor. You are a learner, a changer, an innovator. You are a critical thinker and an incredible problem solver. Your past has influenced who you are, but it is not who you are. You are not what happened to you. You are stronger than those times and have learned from the past.

You deserve love and affection. You deserve people who will move mountains for you, because you would do nothing less for anyone else. You deserve unconditional support. You deserve to not only have people treat you that way, but you deserve to treat yourself that same way. You deserve your own love. You deserve to see your own beauty. You deserve to see how your positive qualities outshine any tiny problem and are stronger than any negativity. You deserve to be your own light.

You won't give up on yourself. You have so much yet to accomplish. You are gong to change so many lives, especially your own. You touch a new soul every time you breathe. You empower others and by doing so you empower yourself. You gain strength with every step you take, each day. You were not given an easy life, but you became a soldier. You are a warrior. You are meant for a purpose greater than anyone could imagine. You are a part of a plan and God has a place for you. You are loved more than you could describe and He would never give you anything you can't handle. You are going to get through this, and not just because of the people supporting you, but because you are choosing to change. You are choosing life because you deserve to, for yourself. You love yourself enough to fight, and you'll continue to fight.

You deserve to live, and never forget it.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
