Carbs get a bad rep sometimes. Yes, eating a lot of carbs can cause some negative side effects. But hey, too much of anything isn't always the best, regardless of what it is.
There are way too many delicious foods that consist of them and I really appreciate that. Pasta? Love it. Bread? Wonderful. Pastries? Even better. Basically, what I'm saying is I'm low-key obsessed with you. Thanks for all of your options.
I also want to note that the typical "carb" based foods aren't the only foods with carbs in them. Fruits and vegetables have them too. It's kind of just assumed that when talking about carbs you mean something like pasta. Not a banana. Carbs don't always get the right credit.
But anyways, a big shoutout goes to carbs for giving me energy. They play a huge role in me literally living my life (and not because I mean I live for mac and cheese). I know that it's not best to overdo it on carbs but it's totally worth splurging every so often.
Everybody needs carbs. Maybe you just need a cupcake because they are delish or maybe you're carbo-loading before a race. I'd like to caution this by saying it's important to not eat carbs right before you run, maybe a night before running. Don't pull a Michael Scott and eat a gigantic pile of Fettuccine Alfredo and then do a 5k. That won't feel so good.
Nobody really ever wants to be like Michael Scott. But in this moment, I can say I understand him because carbs are magical.
In conclusion, without carbs, we would all basically be dead. So their existence is essential and so is their scrumptiousness. Next time you eat carbs silently (or out loud if you want to) thank them and continue to enjoy them.
