A Love Letter To In-N-Out Burger

A feeble attempt to describe my feelings towards the love of my life.

In-N-Out, you are an easy love.

Even when I demand complicated and encrypted things, you consistently and eagerly provide for me. You don’t ask for much, hardly anything at all, in fact. That's something that always amazes me: how much you give and how little you take.

My parents love you. I eagerly take you home and show you off any chance I get. I love bragging about you and all you’ve done for your community. It seems as though everything and everyone just flocks to you. You radiate love and hope.

You’re good for me. I’ve been in such toxic relationships before now that I didn’t even realize how much damage they had done until I met you. Everyone else in comparison to you is garbage: grease-covered, high sodium, poison. Heck, you showed me what true love really is. I was a vegetarian before I met you, for crying out loud. You can’t go back down to the valley once you’ve been to the top of the mountain.

Every time I knock on your door, you greet me with the biggest smile. You’re constantly asking what you can do for me. Even when I come in grumpy or tired, I leave feeling refreshed, feeling as care-free as a palm tree swaying in the wind.

You’re not understood. Most people think of you as someone that just wants to deal with whatever you want and then shove you out the door: get you in and then get you out. They think you just want a quick-fix, a shallow relationship. But I know you. I know that this isn’t true. Your intentions are so pure. You simply want to help people in the most efficient and kind way possible.

You’re always there for me. I can never repay you for everything you’ve done for me. I will always love you, until death do us part. And I’ll see you on the other side, because if I know anything about God, I know that he molded you in His image more than anyone else I’ve ever encountered. I’m in this for the long-haul. Even in your darkest hours, I will stand by you and love you unconditionally.

-Love always.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
