Dear Bodos,

First, let me thank you for unquestionably crushing your competition. Einstein's and other bagel joints just can't compete. Going to Bodos is a truly authentic bagel experience. When it comes to the staples of a good restaurant—the food quality and price, menu variety, the people who work there, and location—you kill it in all categories. And as a local business, you even support Charlottesville.

Your bagels are baked fresh every day, and your menu is astounding. I can come to your fine establishment at any time of day and find something that I want. The egg bagels are a breakfast staple. The amount of cream cheese you put on your bagels is absurd, but how can I complain? The blueberry cream cheese is my favorite. Plain, strawberry, honey walnut—I'll never get sick of your options. If I'm coming for dinner, I can get a sandwich or salad if I'm feeling more traditional, but I can also get a breakfast bagel because they are served all day. Y'all understand my affinity for breakfast food.

If I'm not in the mood for a bagel (which to be honest, happens very rarely), then I can go for one of your salads. You would think it'd be stupid of me to order a salad at a bagel place, but your salads are also made to impress. The Turkey Cleo is fantastic, and you can add any item that is on the menu to it (ham, avocado, chicken salad...yum). I'll never get sick of your menu, because all of the food is great and affordable. Despite being a broke college student, I'll always be able to afford your food (and that's really saying something).

The Bodos staff on the Corner is top notch and could not be sweeter. When I come in to get breakfast and am still in lala land from waking up late, they are all so cheerful and genuine. I'm sure the staff at the other locations are just as wonderful. The spot on the Corner is so convenient, and every time I walk by I try to justify stopping in to get something. Bagels for days.

And then there are the things that don't fit into any of those categories. Bodos is a must-go-to restaurant in Charlottesville; a great place to bring prospective students, friends from other colleges, and visitors to Charlottesville; and the ultimate hangover cure. Now if only I could get the number one ticket...

Sincerely Wishing I Had a Bagel Right Now,

Selina Horsley

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.

It's that time of year again- Thanksgiving Break is finally approaching. For college students everywhere, Thanksgiving is a time to relax and not really worry about homework (well, depending on what major you're in). However, going home for Thanksgiving is actually a lot more complicated and stressful than it looks. From traveling, to Thanksgiving in general, the stages of going home can drive students crazy.
