The first day of preschool is not a fond memory of ours; even at three we knew that this whole “education” business was not for us.

The sound of our alarms going off in the morning enrages us. Instead of getting ready, we read articles about why waking up early is harmful for our physical and mental development.

We slug through the day with bags under our eyes. We are accustomed to counting in increments until the bell rings.

However, do not confuse our hatred of school for a hatred of learning. We love learning. We get excited when assigned a new book. We get a rush while planning our next essay. Projects are a form of entertainment.

Despite hating school, we love learning. Even though some mornings our parents have to force us out the door.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
