My love-hate relationship with IOS 10

A special shoutout to all the lovely iPhone users, you rock. We all freaked out when we got the update. Wait we can draw stuff and send it, and how did you send me balloons? Yes, we all updated our lovely little babies to IOS 10. Some love it some hate it, but if you're anything like me you love and hate it.

The emojis.

What the actual heck? Did we go back in time or what? Why do these emojis look so terrible now? What happened to the cute little emojis! And hello why is the gun a water gun now?! And even though I do hate some of them with a burning passion there are some new ones including, single parents, homosexual partners with children, churches and women weightlifting.

Parked Car

This may be the best thing that has ever happened to me. Apple can officially remember where you parked. All my life problems have been solved.

Digital Touch Message

Hello, best thing ever! Now I can send special little drawings to my friends and even better yet the little ones in my life!

Movie

Being away at college and away from all my friends and family can be super difficult at times. (Love y'all!) The new update has this awesome thing, just by going into your memories, then clicking people, places or related a little movie will be created. You can select the type of music you'd like and the length of the movie.

Widgets

Now when you swipe right you have access to apps. You have the ability to personalize your widgets. Personally I chose Siri App Suggestions, Weather, Maps & Destinations, Calendar, Reminders and Photos.

Unlocking

Eventually, it will be okay, but as for me I am so used to swiping to one side and unlocking my phone. However, now you must press the home button and enter the passcode or use your fingerprint.

April Ludgate
NBC Universal

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
