I Love Gram Because...

Christmas is the best time of year. Such a special season of celebrating the birth of our savior grows even more special when Gram (and Toto) come to town!

Italian cooking is Gram's specialty! This year she made delicious manicotti and meatballs. We all love spending time with Gram. Featured in the video are some of the fun memories we made this Christmas.

Gram has always had the tradition of decorating Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. It is my favorite tradition and something I always look forward to!

Gram means so much to her family and friends. She is kind, caring, and completely selfless. Her love is unconditional and I am so glad we get to spend Christmas with her every year!

When asked the question, "why do you love Gram?" these are the responses I received:

"I love Gram because...

...she makes the best meatballs in the world." -Nicholas (grandson)

...she has a busy life, but she still puts family first. Family is the most important thing to her." -Toni (daughter)

...she is always there for us." -Jon (son-in-law)

...she has always loved her family well." -Lisa (daughter)

...I love her voluminous stories about groomers and doggie spas...and I love her giving spirit and kind heart." -Jay (son-in-law)

...she will do anything for her family. She drove 10 hours for one weekend to see me in the Nutcracker when I was little." -Emily (granddaughter)

...she says she will pay for all my speeding tickets" -Truitt (grandson)

We love you SO much Gram!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
