The love in my heart is like a garden,
It needs to be tended to.
Your affection nurtured flowers to bloom.
Your kisses provided sunshine.
Your touch, a warm summers breeze.
Being with you, the garden grew,
The butterflies flew,
And the skies were always blue.
When we fought, our garden suffered.
They brought winds and storms.
Most of the garden was damaged but with the rain,
Brighter flowers came again.
With all the bad, the garden still grew.
But you see,
When the garden was as big as it could be,
No one knew that you would flee, not even me.
The butterflies flew away,
The flowers turned grey,
And now my heart is dull.
The storms are here to stay.
There’s nothing left to do.
There will be no other garden
Because it was only made with you.
