To My Best Friends

Everyone deserves friends like these.

To My Best Friends

I can’t say thank you enough. We’ve only been around each other for two months, and I already love you. You have already seen parts of my life and my struggle that I never wanted to share. You have already wiped away my tears and hugged me as I cried. You have already seen me nap in public (which I never do!) You have already gushed with me about the little girly things.

You have already given me some of my favorite memories.

1. Thank you for running to the bus with me because I didn’t want to wait for it.

2. Thank you for indulging my love for papa johns and sharing a pizza with me.

3. Thank you for making statistics and public speaking bearable and doable.

4. Thank you for watching a movie with me even when you didn’t have the time for it.

5. Thank you for giving me the 411 on and making me a part of your life.

6. Thank you for listening to my troubles and understanding.

7. Thank you for hugging me as I cried.

8. Thank you for dropping a pack of tissues on my lap.

9. Thank you for letting me set my backpack down and rant for a good half hour.

10. Thank you for lounging around with me on a lazy Sunday.

11. Thank you for buying me a cute coca cola bottle for my bad day.

12. Thank you for being crazy, stupid, and wonderful and making any day a sunny one.

13. Thank you for including me in your adventures and offering road trips.

14. Thank you for dealing with my pickiness.

15. Thank you for dragging me out of my room because you knew I was upset.

16. Thank you for understanding how busy I am.

17. Thank you for late night talks lying in bed revealing deep secrets.

Thank you for everything. Within two months, you’ve done two million things for me, and I am so grateful for all of them. Your kindness, love, vulnerability, understanding, and silliness have made this year so much better than I ever expected. You have been with me for all my ups and downs and included me in all of yours. You have given me the kind of mutual friendship I was afraid I had lost. It’s not easy leaving one group of people and going to a completely blank slate land trying to find new people to cry on and laugh with.

You made it easy.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
