Spring brought the bloom of a pure, new season

and the love that had changed my heart for a reason

I never knew what was the cause

for all the pain and hurt and all my flaws

With every blossom of beauty

my heart grew full of love and duty

Duty to fill a job I had accepted

duty to love a heart I never expected

To be with someone you don’t deserve

to be loved with a love you could not conserve

As summer came my heart became strong

you had brought me peace all along

peace from my past

peace at last

something I never thought possible

something I never thought solvable

Fall brought fear

fear I couldn't explain, fear I couldn't mask

As time went on I saw beauty

beauty I didn't have to mask

Beauty God had placed deep in my heart

A heart that was safe to be loved and never forgot

Winter came and as the leaves fall away

my fear and pain was gone to stay

Love brought beauty

Love brought peace

and as long as I live I know it will never cease
