Love has won and it has lost

Conquered and weighed upon by many

We trust,

We trust because we know

What it is like to live without

To longed for and to be ignored

To be genuine, because we have been

Lied to, cheated on, and betrayed

It is to allow someone else to hold the gun,

But trusting them not to pull the trigger

Whether if it is not the first time

Still being strong enough to endure the process

And being patient

I will not allow the world to damage me

If I have learned anything,

I know am filled with love

And I will not allow myself to give any less than my all

It is what I live for,

And I want to show others

What it means to truly be capable

Of loving yourself before anyone else
