In even more unprecedented news, the Supreme Court has ruled that the ongoing debate about which Board of Trustees will govern the University of Louisville will be settled via a best of five series of basketball games between the old board and the one that Governor Bevin appointed recently. In a surprising and overwhelming 8-0 decision, the Court stated that the dispute had gone on too long, and that this series of games would provide a both succinct and entertaining end to the controversy.
When Gov. Bevin was asked for a comment on the ongoing situation he said, "I'm really confident that my board can take it to the one I abolished. I know it's basketball and not football, but Papa John still knows how to ball whether his name is on the place he's playing or not. Plus, I firmly believe I am in the right by reorganizing the Board, and as I learned in grade school 'the ball never lies.'"
Samantha Rawlings, a sophomore at the University, said "I'm just ready for this situation to be resolved, not matter the outcome. Plus, it'll be funny watching a bunch of old people trying to hoop."
The first game is Monday, September 26 at 7 pm on the third floor of the newly renovated Student Activities Center.
