Which was the hardest thing to grasp.

I Needed To Lose Myself Before I Could Find Myself

Now, this probably doesn't make any sense right? Like you had to lose yourself to find yourself?

As humans, we are constantly changing and growing. Are you the same person you were when you were five? twelve? sixteen? No, you are not because we are always shaping and molding ourselves into the person we will one day be.

I am not the same girl I was last year

And honestly, I'm so thankful. I didn't know who I was, or what my passions were. I was just kind of floating through life with no real purpose, so I thought. I didn't think I had a calling in life, and that I was just existing.

One day I realized that this is not how life is supposed to be. I'm not supposed to just exist and go with the flow. I have a purpose and reason for living, and I just need to find what it is.

This is when I realized I didn't know who I was

And it was okay because I could find myself, and that is exactly what I did. I went from taking every day for granted to finding the good and enjoyment in the little things. I went from sitting alone in my dorm room to going out and seeing my friends.

The key to your happiness is to find yourself

Once you know who you are and you believe in yourself, no one can take your happiness away from you. Don't listen to what everyone else has to say because honestly only you know what can make you happy, and only you can provide your own happiness.

I figured out what my interests were, finally, and ran with it

Take a step back and ask yourself this: "What are my passions? What am I living for? Why am I here?" If you have even the slightest trouble answering those questions, it might be time to step back and figure out those things because without knowing your purpose you will forever be lost.

I found myself finally and I am not only the happiest I have ever been, but I am also content with where I am at in life. I am doing what makes me happy, and surrounding me with people who support my dreams.

Surround yourself with people who love and support you, and do what makes you happy, and I promise you will crush it in this game called life.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
