America Destroying Families

Lost Souls, Broken Bones

America is tearing families apart.

Children are losing parents,

Parents are losing children.

Families are shrinking,

Loved ones are missing.

People are being sent back "home,"

to countries they hardly know.

Back to the places that they left,

To places that no longer belong to them.

Immigrants break their backs for America,

they do the work others won't.

Work for years to take care of their families,

getting payed almost nothing.

Immigrants are lost souls,

with broken bones.

Destroyed slowly in the heart,

Ripped apart at the skin.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
