The End Of The Semester As Told By 'Lost Girl'

As the end of the semester draws near, motivation and summer vacation seem far away. Enjoy these GIFs from "Lost Girl" that depict the joys and troubles of the end of the semester.

1. Trying to study

Yada, yada, yada - wait, what the Fae did I just read?

2. Completely losing track of time

We all reach that point in the semester where the days bleed together, and we question what is real.

3. Finals sneaking up on you

Finals are a month away? There is one month left in the semester? You aren't sure whether this is a good or bad thing but decide to see it as both.

4. Dodging last-minute assignments

You almost forget to do a few assignments, but your last minute work is stellar because "diamonds are made under pressure."

5. When there isn't enough coffee in the world

There will never be enough coffee, and you can't really deal with college without it.

6. Your endless need for naps doesn't go unnoticed

If only you could wake up at noon every day.

7. But when people tell you that you should sleep less

This is also your response when people tell you that maybe you should drink less coffee. No, you definitely do not care. Naps and coffee are worth it.

8. Also, PARKING

At the end of the semester, you suddenly see an influx of vehicles in the parking lots. People who haven't been to class all semester are scrambling to get their lives together. Parking was already hard enough, but now this? Please!

9. Spring Break!

A much needed break.

10. Returning to school after Spring Break

It takes every fiber of your being to go back, but you know you must.

11. Then remembering all you have to do

"End of the semester breakdowns are the best!" said no one ever.

12. STRESS EATING

You're just eating normally, and then you think about the following weeks, and you start stressfully eating.

13. When you're preparing for finals

You know you got this. You've been working hard all semester!

14. Walking into finals week like

You totally got this!

16. Then realizing you're totally lost

Okay, maybe you do not totally have this...

17. The first question of the final

Whenever you can't answer the first question, you know you're screwed. You start skipping the questions you don't know, and all of a sudden, you've skipped 75% of the test.

18. But then when it's all over

You deserve a glass of wine. If that's not your thing, take a bubble bath, get a massage, or partake in another relaxing activity. You've worked hard. Treat yourself!

19. You did it!

When the crushing weight of finals week finally lifts, you can appreciate all your hard work. That's when the true celebration begins.

20. Until next semester

You are not stepping foot near that school for another few months, and you couldn't be happier about it.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
