Working off the dreaded pounds gained from your first year at school.

Losing The Freshman 15

College is the only time procrastination is socially accepted. You tell yourself you will start that paper two weeks in advance. You say you will be in bed by ten. You say you will go to the gym everyday this week. You say you will not partake in Chinese take-out or pizza this week, but things happen and college is the only place where this kind of living is fully embraced.

Until the Chinese, pizza, beer, and procrastination catch up to you.

Summer rolls around and all of a sudden none of your jean shorts fit. The thought of yourself in a bathing suit can be compared to a scene in a horror film. (On a very serious "Saw IV" level). You are now cursing all of the pizza places open past midnight. *Screams all the way home and writes in burn book*

The dreaded has happened. You never thought you would be the one out of your friend group to suffer from this tragedy. The freshman fifteen has officially taken over. Thankfully, it is not permanent and with a few simple changes to your everyday routine, you can get your mojo back. (Think Regina George post Kalteen Bars).

1. Get into a sweaty routine.

Learn to love sweat. Live for it, need it, become addicted to it. Find some type of exercise that you genuinely enjoy doing. Get out of your comfort zone. Try yoga, cross fit, or a spin class. Anything that will get your heart rate up and get those 'I love life' endorphins going. After a few weeks you will make some new fit friends and you will start to enjoy moving your body again.

2. Cut back on the alcohol.

The root of all evil. Alcohol. Cut your drinking to once a week and be more aware about the type of drink you consume. The margaritas and draft beer have to be sacrificed for the sake of your backside. This also eliminates the late night snacking and hungover trips to McDonald's.

3. Eat your vegetables.

Replace your side of white potatoes or bread with some sautéed squash and broccoli. The greener the plate the better. Think about adding some type of veggie with every meal.

4. Kiss sugar goodbye.

Sugar might taste like it is your friend, but it is actually your worst enemy. You might as well take that doughnut and glue it on your thigh. Put your sugar cravings in a box and bury it in your backyard. RIP.

5. Make simple changes.

Little things such as learning to drink your coffee black or with almond milk can add up and save a ton of calories. Get the salad dressing on the side, use avocado instead of cheese, cook with coconut oil and use only all natural seasonings.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
