It's crunch time for a lot of us, right now. Exams, projects, deadlines left and right, it all seems so daunting. With everything piling up around you, it's easy to miss the mark every once in awhile. Sometimes, you fall short of your goals. Sometimes, you fail. Sometimes you feel like your best isn't enough. I was having a pretty bad day when I rediscovered an unconventional song about losers.
The song helped me to block out the noise and to stop worrying about the "what ifs" that held me back.
They reassured me that it's not always about winning. They made me feel okay about losing. Trial and error are in no short supply in life. We are not perfect. The fact that you are willing to try and fail even in the face of judgement is commendable.
It's easy to look in on someone else's life and point out their failures, but to be able to look past your own worst outcomes and do your best anyway is brave.
Don't worry about what others may say. You only let yourself down when you don't try. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, right?
Watching someone else actually live while you sort of just exist and meander about without any real challenges, that's losing. Don't allow yourself to lose out on life because you're afraid.
Run that race, fall in love, take a risk, don't let fear hold you back. "You're the one out there reaching for something greater. And you know it's better to be a loser than a spectator."
If you take nothing else from this article, remember this: "You are such a loser, here's to you. Cause you deserve a cheering section, too."
