The only thing standing between who you are now and who you want to be is yourself. Your feelings are keeping you away from your goals. That "I'll start tomorrow" attitude is only going to prolong the amount of time you feel inadequate. The longer you allow yourself to hit snooze and blow off the gym the longer you're going to hate looking in the mirror. You have to realize that procrastination is toxic and the only way to achieve your goals is to suck it up and put in the work.
Suck it up. Suck it up. Suck it up.
Don't throw yourself a pity party because you can't fit into your jeans. Don't avoid the gym because you think other people will judge you. Don't let your feelings get the best of you. Put your immediate wants aside or the sake of your long-term desires. Did you work out for an hour? Great. But that doesn't mean you deserve a cheeseburger or a milkshake. By binging after a workout as a reward you're taking two steps in the wrong direction.
Abs are made in the kitchen. Don't like salad? Then don't eat it. There are plenty of healthy options that don't include salad. You just have to get enough macronutrients to sustain and energize your body. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF.
The easiest way to start a toxic relationship with food is to try to starve yourself to lose weight. Don't do it. Maintain a set caloric goal every day and the pounds will come off. But not eating has devastating effects and can slow your metabolism, making it even harder to lose weight.
Hydrate. Drink water ALL THE TIME. Skip soda, coffee, and sports drinks. That's right. If you're not breaking a sweat you don't need the Gatorade. It's full of sugar and salt that your body doesn't need to replace if you're not losing it.
Get the facts before trying to lose weight.
Just because you want it doesn't mean you should eat it. Get up, fuel your body, work your body, and give your body what it NEEDS. Your feelings will only get in the way.
