Los Angeles Vs. Seattle

Two major cities in these great United States of America have, at last, met for the ultimate showdown to see who truly is the best city.

Burgers: In-N-Out vs. Dick’s

Based in California, In-N-Out offers superb burgers, fries and drinks. While most people enjoy their meal animal style, keeping it plain is still absolutely scrumptious. Dick’s Drive-In offers a cheap, quick and delicious experience. Whether it is a late night snack, or the main course for a picnic in one of Seattle’s great parks. Dick’s knows how to put a smile on your face.

Drink: Organic Juice vs. Coffee

As the birthplace of Starbucks, Seattle historically has been the capital of coffee. Coffee shops are abundant and there is always a new, exciting place to get your daily cup of Joe.

The laid-back lifestyle of Los Angeles has introduced the new trend of juice bars. Thousands of different types of juices have sprung up around the city. Plain old apple juice just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Best lookout point: Griffith Observatory vs. Space Needle

Griffith Observatory offers breathtaking views of this city of lights. On its perch in the hills anyone is capable of getting a bird’s-eye view of the magnificent city of Los Angeles.

The Space Needle is a landmark of Seattle since 1962. Over 600 feet above the streets of Seattle, the Space Needle captures the best views of both the city and the Puget Sound.

Attraction: Santa Monica Pier vs. Seattle Great Wheel

As the Seattle Great Wheel spins you around, you are able to capture a multitude of breath-taking views of both land and sea. If you time it right you can be blown away by one of Seattle’s beautiful sunsets out over the Olympic Mountains and the Sound.

Santa Monica Pier offers a full, fun day of attractions and restaurants. You can ride a roller-coaster, watch the surfers trying to catch a wave, or just enjoy the beautiful sun.

Baseball: Dodgers vs. Mariners

The Los Angeles Dodgers are not only the baseball team of the Los Angeles area, but also a lifestyle. With thousands of fans in the city, and many more around the country the Dodgers are very popular.

The Seattle Mariners are a staple to the city of Seattle and attending baseball games at Safeco Stadium are longstanding traditions of many households around the Seattle area.

Music Scene: Pop vs. Alternative

In the 90’s Seattle was the stomping ground for the grunge revolution. From this Seattle has evolved while remaining close to its roots. Alternative rock is the offspring of this grunge era.

Home to recording studios and talents scouts Los Angeles is home to the pop music scene. Upbeat tunes and catchy beats have originated out of the boy bands and teen stars of Los Angeles.

View: Hollywood Sign vs. Mt. Rainier

Does this even need an explanation?

Both of these great cities offer something for everyone. Whether it is a scrumptious latte, a burger animal style, a fun pier or a breathtaking mountain, Seattle and Los Angeles both provide a great place to live and vacation. So who wins? We may never know.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
