Experience Los Angeles like a local

Every major metropolitan city must be visited twice, once as a tourist and then as a local (even if you aren’t). You will get all kinds of information on what to do in Los Angeles but they are all tourist activities, here I’ve gathered all the best places to be with the locals of LA. The experience starts from the airport itself, check the airport details beforehand so that you’re not stuck there in some silly little formalities. Make sure to read till the end for the gems in the city.

  • The city is 50% Latino and Hispanic, so Mexican food is a must-have but you cannot enjoy the true Mexican flavors in a hotel, you have to hunt down the trucks like Leo’s Tacos Truck, Ricky’s Fish Tacos, Taco Zone, and many more. Each truck is a small business owned by a native Latino and Hispanic.
  • You don’t have to worry about eating healthy while traveling when you have the original farmers market in your city, open seven days a week. You can build your own salad with freshly produced ingredients or order the freshest sushi, pizza, churrasco, barbecue, and much more.
  • The most LA thing to do is visit Santa Monica Beach or Venice Beach. It’s pretty self-explanatory, you’ll feel like you’re in a Hollywood movie.
  • Hike up the Hollywood Sign on Mount Lee for a beautiful view of the city during sunrise or sunset. You may find a few more people on Sunday as it’s a fun
  • As much as the tourists love the Walk of Fame, the locals of LA don’t seem to like it. If you really want to see it then make sure you act look so that no one can notice ha-ha just kidding!
  • Spice up your Instagram feed like an influencer by clicking aesthetic pictures on popular sites like Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica, or Venice Beach.
  • Visit the Universal Studios and the Warner Bros. Studios and experience the most out of Hollywood. They have the perfect blend of tourists and locals as a day at the studios is never a mistake.
  • Some of the quick places that you can cover in a few hours, will not only save you time but are also worth visiting once at least as they are the locals’ favorites. To name a few: The Last Bookstore, Grand Central Market, Echo Park, Hollywood Bowl, Highland Park Brewery, Tiki Ti Tiki Bar, and Sushi Row.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
