Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman make court appearances in college admissions scandal. The court date was in Boston, Massachusetts yesterday April 3rd. The defendants are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services. Lori Laughlin's court date happened recently and she is facing major consequences. Loughlin is going to have to face anywhere between six to twenty-one months in prison if convicted or plead guilty. There are 50 people total in this case and 5 of them have already pleaded guilty. Many people from the highly competitive schools are included in the case and have agreed to plead guilty such as, Mark Riddell, who cheated for the students on the SAT's and ACT's.

Stanford, University of Southern California, Georgetown University, and other schools said that they are going to be reviewing the admissions of students that participated in the case. Several brands have distanced themselves from Lori Loughlin and her daughter that is a social media influencer, Olivia. I think for all the kids that have prepared for college, studied and was dedicated to studying for the SAT and ACT in order to get accepted into college looks misrepresented to the public and this society because Lori Loughlin showed that she takes advantage of higher education and does not respect people that do and want to pursue the goal of going to college to earn a degree.

No one should take advantage of a higher education degree because it takes a lot of work and a great work ethic. Some people in this society have the wrong image of what college actually is and that it does have a meaning behind it. A businessman that was part of the college admissions scandal was allegedly accused $250,000. CBS News correspondent Don Dahler reported that both Loughlin and Huffman will have limited time to travel from their homes, and must receive court permission to travel internationally for their acting careers.

Many news outlets such as CBS, CNN, etc have been talking about this college admissions scandal. They have been going in depth and detail about the specific case. When Lori Loughlin arrived at federal court on Wednesday, she was greeted by her fans who were outside the courthouse. According to CBS, "Loughlin, and her husband, clothing designer Mossimo Giannulli, have each been charged by federal prosecutors for their roles in the college admissions cheating and bribery scandal" (CBS News). Some people that were in the crowd interrupted as well- including one yelled, "Pay for my tuition Lori!, CBS reports. Unfortunately, Lori Loughlin has people that don't like her because of this college admissions scandal.

In Boston, on Wednesday, there were a lot of reporters and publicity around Loughlin and Huffman's car. It is sad how Lori Loughlin is handling this situation because she is under major publicity, pressure, and the crowds as well. My perspective of being a college student is you have to earn your degree in order to receive it. People, mentors, or your support system can help you through your journey but they can't do the work for you. Always trust in your work instead of this college admissions scandal as an example of someone cheating their way through of getting admitted to college.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
