Looking early on the 2016 Ryder Cup

For those who aren't really into golf but you are into sports, the Ryder Cup Golf Tournament is one of the most exciting sports tournaments ever. Each year several players from the PGA tour get picked to be on a team for the United States and the European roster. This year's golf field is filled with a lot of veteran and up and coming players. Of course one of the best players that's been on the United States is Tiger Woods. However, he really hasn't gotten his great golf game back yet. One of the key reasons is because of the problem with his back. Woods is planning to make a comeback as he hopes to play on October 13-16 Safeway Open. Woods also said that he plans to play at the Turkish Airlines Open in Antayla during November and the December's Hero World Challenge in the Bahammas. It's going to be hard for Tiger to play well again due to a bad back but if he wants to come back, it sounds like his back has been just about healed.

The Ryder Cup is an event where its usually 2 players from each the United States team and 2 players from the European team square off. There are multiple groups that go out on the course at once and then there's others that go at different times. This year's Ryder Cup will be played from September 27th to October 2nd at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska Minnesota which is right outside of Minneapolis. Currently on USAs roster, there's a total of 13 golfers on the team. The golfers currently right now on USAs roster are first the captain Davis Love 3, along with the players like Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Brandt Snedeker, Jordan Speith, Jimmy Walker. There are still 4 still open spots for the USA squad. The canidates for the 4 open picks for the USA are Rickie Fowler, JB Holmes, Matt Kuchar, Bill Haas, Bubba Watson, Will McGirt, and Scott Piercy. From Team Europe, the captain field is Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn( Vice-Captain), Ian Poulter( Vice-Captain), Sam Torrance( Vice-Captain),Martin Kaymer, Thomas Pieters, Paul Lawrie( Vice-Captain), Lee Westwood. There other players like Rafa Cabrera Bello, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Sergio Garcia, Rory Mcilory, Justin Rose, Chris Wood, Andy Sullivan, and Danny Willett.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
