When I was six years old, the most influential movie of all time was released into movie theaters. Five months later, it was released on VHS and DVD. Not long after that, the DVD was brought into my household, and since then, "Mean Girls" has shaped me into the person I am today.

Although I don't remember the first time I watched "Mean Girls," I'm sure it was a monumental experience in my childhood. I know I didn't understand the jokes. I know I didn't know what a lesbian was. I know I didn't understand the making out with a hot dog joke. I know especially, though, that I did not know how important it was for Cady Heron to be a Mathlete, win Spring Fling Queen, and break off her crown to give out to other girls. But enough about Cady, lets get to the real inspiration of the movie, my queen, Regina George.

Regina George has brought so much joy to the world, and even though she was honestly a pretty bad person, she has so many good qualities. Regina was ruthless, fearless, attractive, and inspirational. Lets start with ruthless. Regina George slayed everyone. Throughout the movie she is mean and tearing through people's emotions. Regina is brutally honest, but not to people's face. An iconic moment in the movie is when Regina compliments the girl's skirt, and then tells Cady that it was "the ugliest effing skirt [she has] ever seen." In another scene, it is stated that Regina is the creator of the rules for the Plastics. She made rules for her friends and if they break them, they aren't their friend until its fixed.I wish i had the honesty to slay people like that. Regina knows she is the best and she is not afraid to treat people like she is the best. I wish I had the confidence to treat people that I don't like, like I don't like them. I wish I was ruthless, just like Regina.

Another thing that Regina brings into houses is her fearlessness. This runs along with the ruthlessness Regina has, in that she is not afraid of the consequences. She is not afraid to hurt people and make people feel terrible. Regina is not afraid to put Cady to her place at the Halloween party. She won't stop being mean to avoid consequences, she voices her opinion no matter how people will feel or try to make her feel. In half a second, Regina will speak her honest opinion about someone or something, and walk away, making the situation drop because who would want to face off with Regina George?

Out of any movie ever, Regina George sets herself up to be one of the most strong, attractive female characters. She is confident and strong and fearless, yet still manages to be attractive. In many movies, women that are strong and confident characters are portrayed as unattractive and undatable. Regina George is confident and attractive, but she knows that she is and she owns it. She doesn't play the "ohhh I'm not pretty woe is me" game. People tell her she is attractive, and she says "Thanks I know." Regina portrays the confidence that all young girls should be taught. Why should we not agree that we are attractive? Why do we have to pretend like every time a guy calls us pretty we have to pretend we have never heard it before? I wish everyone was more like Regina George at least in the fact that she owns her looks. She walks like she owns it because she has enough confidence in herself to.

Regina George is the most inspirational character from any movie ever. Her confidence shines through all of her activities. Her lack of fear and, let be honest, lack of a filter, brings so much to everyone around her. Everyone at North Shore High wanted to be like Regina George. People cut holes in their t shirts to show their bras, just because Regina George did it. She is a leader, not only in her school, but to the world. She led the world to follow "Mean Girls" through her brutally honest nature. Regina is my biggest role model, because if I had her confidence, I could take over the world.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
