A Look Inside The Woman's Mind: As Told By "New Girl"
theodysseyonline

Ever wondered what exactly goes on in the minds of women? Or if you are a woman, have you ever wondered if other women have the same thoughts, emotions, and experiences as you? Well, wonder no more. While a woman's mind can be an enigma of sorts, and though we may feel simple yet complex, what it all really boils down to is that we're humans who have basic needs. And wants. And cravings. And emotions. And well, I think you get the picture. And what better way to get a closer look into the mind of a woman than through the eyes of Jessica Day -- a strong, independent, emotional, awkward woman who is just trying to figure out life. Just like the rest of us. On that note, here are fourteen sneak peeks into what it's really like to think like a woman.

1. We love food.

Sad? We eat. Happy? We eat. Sitting in class? We eat.

2. Sometimes we just want to be alone and indulge in overrated music.

Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, the works.

3. We have a lot of feelings about a lot of things.

Sometimes we have an explosion of feelings. We can't help it.

4. We know what we like and what we don't.

Although we can be indecisive at times, deep down we know what we want. And more than that, we know what we don't want.

5. We just want to be accepted for who we are.

This is one of the biggest struggles that women face. We don't have to be understood, but we do want to be fully accepted for who we truly are. No exceptions. No ifs, ands, or buts.

6. We overthink. A lot. Which causes us to sometimes make questionable decisions.

One bad decision can ruin our entire day if we let it.

7. Though some women don't appreciate the term "crazy", we all have a crazy side and sometimes it rears its ugly head.

It's something we're born with. And something we try with all our might to keep under control.

8. We love to sing and dance and act silly when we're home alone. Or in public. To each her own.

It lifts our spirits and reminds us that life really is wonderful and worth living. And you might earn brownie points for singing/dancing along.

9. Sometimes we get upset for no reason.

Whether it's because we're on our period, we have a lot on our plate, or someone in our life has done us wrong, when we get upset, we just want to be comforted and cuddled. Or left alone. It really depends on the girl.

10. We don't like to admit it, but we do check out attractive guys.

We notice. And we talk about you to our girlfriends.

11. Sometimes we can be a little snappy.

Some girls just get under each other's skin. Which can make us get a little quick-tempered.

12. We regret stupid things that probably won't matter in five years.

Why did I get a caramel mocha instead of a pumpkin spice latte? Why did I wear this shirt today? Why did I say that dumb thing to that guy in 7th grade?

13. We know we can't escape our problems. But we try anyway.

We're girls. We have a lot of problems. Sometimes they're just too much to handle, so we avoid them for as long as possible. But eventually we know we have to face them.

14. Even though we don't always openly admit it, we know what we deserve.

And though it may take us awhile to realize it, we will not settle for less than the best.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
