We love generalizations. Generalizations allow us to plop people into categories which help us decide how to deal with them, whether this be in how we address someone in casual conversation, how we give or take orders from someone at work, or even choosing with what pace and magnitude of hip swing we walk on the sidewalk when someone's behind us. Though we all do this, generalizations are not inherently kind or good. They set us up for judgement, ignorance, and the inclination to rank ourselves with respect to each other. Generalizing does little else besides make someone seem superior and another seem inferior.
So I offer a list. I Googled short identities and plucked the first image result. As for their interpretation, I hope this collection speaks to you as much as it spoke to me and that you speak to other people about this because, damn, this matters.
