So, it's been a few years and your hair has grown out past your shoulders. When this happens, special events occur along with having long hair.
1. Questions
"How often to you get your hair cut?" "What shampoo do you use?" "Does it take forever to curl/straighten?" "How long did it take you to grow it that long?" "Does it hurt to brush/sit on it?"
Okay so maybe you can relate to these, maybe you have some special ones of your own. Either way, having long hair can make you become envied by some people.
Sidenote: if you've reached the level of sitting on it, I congratulate you.
2. Static
Maybe it's just me, or maybe it happens to people with short hair, too, but when the weather gets cold and I have a jacket, my hair gets so much static. It does NOT, for any reason, want to obey the rules of gravity.
3. Expenses
I don't care what ANYONE says, a quarter size of shampoo or conditioner will not cut it with long hair. Especially those "blessed" with thick hair. Using a palm full is usually enough, but that also means going through more bottles of hair care (still not sure why I don't run out of shampoo and conditioner at the same time). Oh, and I just bought multiple packs of hair ties, but they won't last long. They will either break, get lost, be too loose after using ONE time, or I'll end up letting someone have it.
4. The Picture Says it All
5. Windy Days
Apparently, hair really loves lipstick/gloss/chapstick. If the wind is blowing, there is bound to be some hair stuck to your lips, smearing your makeup over your face. If you've gone makeup free that day, then it will STILL be in your face preventing you from seeing.
6. Everyday Occurrences
From tangling my own hand in it, freaking out when something touches my arm (it's my hair), getting it in my food or stuck in a jacket, to never having a towel wide enough to wrap my hair into, I often consider why I even have long hair.
Here's some images that accurately describe the pain of long hair.
