1. It gives you time to work towards your own goals, or even have some "me time."
It's easier to work towards your goals without your partner physically being there to distract you. Also, "me time"? Treat yo' self, guilt-free!
2. You gain your own form of independence.
Without your SO by your side, you're able to get into your own routine of doing things alone. Also, you're able to avoid depending on another person for your own happiness.
3. ROAD TRIPS!!!
Or jetting across the country! Both are equally exciting, honestly! And both mean you're able to explore your significant other's town (and other exciting nearby places) and act like a tourist during your trip. Not to mention, who can resist a cute photo op?
4. There's always something to look forward to
Whether it's good morning texts, FaceTime calls, or that trip you've been saving up for what seems like forever, everyday becomes a day you look forward to!
5. Being away from each other can really test your relationship.
With less communication and less time in person, you quickly learn what's worth fighting for. It's a test of endurance, communication, and love. If a couple can overcome distance, everything else will seem like a small bump in the road!
6. If you thought your communication skills were good, they're about to get a whole lot better.
Communication is the essence of a long distance relationship. Trust me when I say, you'll get good at listening and talking about the little things. Eventually, you'll end up communicating by tagging each other in memes!
7. Everything becomes memorable
When I say 'everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Every moment your able to talk on the phone right before work or that hoodie you stole and it doesn't smell like your partner anymore, will always hold a value in your heart.

You'll never be able to get enough date nights or surprise visits, and every moment spent together is a moment you wish would last forever.
